Hallowe'en Pumpkin & Spooky Window Competition

Covid looks like it is going put a dampener on the usual Halloween activities. We all love Halloween so we thought how about a safe, non-contact competition that can be done in your own home, garden, shed or shop and is open to anyone in our community to enter! We would love it if you could decorate a window or a pumpkin in the most: Spookiest; Scariest; Terrifyingly; Horrid way possible. All you need to do is take a picture of you in front of your window or pumpkin (or both!) upload it to the SDLC Facebook page and then, with the help of some local fairies a winner will be picked. 

There will be prizes for the most terrifyingly spooky window and the craziest carved pumpkin and an overall Halloweeniest Halloween Award which has been very kindly donated by our friends at Number 44 Family meal for 4 (2 adults + 2 children sit in or take away).

Entries can be uploaded from the beginning October and the winner will be announced week commencing the 2nd November.

We as a group have really missed doing what we would usually do - our BBQs, school fayres, Feein’ Market and being part of the Harbour Festival. We wanted to bring something that everyone in the community could take part in safely. We are very much looking forward to all the pictures coming in!
