The window guessing competition is on from 6 July to 17 August with prizes every week.

During the summer school holidays – from 6th July to 17th August this year - businesses around Stonehaven put an unusual item in their window. The item changes each week. It is something you wouldn’t normally see in that shop’s display. Fountainhall Wines might have a tin of tomato soup on display, or Pico’s Deli might have an old light bulb – you know the kind of thing!
There are 44 businesses taking part this time, so on a sunny day there are lots of people peering into lots of windows round the town and filling in their answers. Entry forms cost £1 from My Beautiful Caravan and have to be returned there by 12 noon each Monday. There are usually three age groups, and each week the winners of each group – chosen at random from the correct entries - each receive a family ticket for the open-air pool plus a small cash prize.
The Stonehaven Business Association is indebted to Liz Johnstone who organises all the businesses and sorts out the entry forms. Thank you Liz! And happy holidays. School’s out!
